Bonaire is a small residential area situated in the north of Mallorca, just outside the historic old town of Alcudia. There is a pretty marina with a bar, restaurant, local supermarket and lovely sandy beach, known as Mal Pas, on the headland between the bay of Pollença and the bay of Alcudia.
A 10-minute walk from Bonaire will take you to the walled old town of Alcudia, set within the ruins of an ancient castle. Here there are narrow cobbled streets with restaurants and shops and a twice-weekly market on a Tuesday and a Sunday selling arts and crafts and a variety of locally produced fruit and vegetables.
Bonaire is ideally situated for a quiet holiday base within easy driving distance of several resorts offering a wide variety of daytime activites and evenings to suit all tastes. There's a choice of fantastic watersports available in Puerto Pollença and Alcudia, two golf courses nearby, excellent beaches and sandy coves, plus some of the best walks on the island. There are great restaurants and café-bars in the old towns of Alcudia and Pollença and for a livelier evening there are more restaurants, bars and the odd disco in Alcudia and Puerto Pollença.
