Casa Maravilha is a wonderful country villa, set in large impressive gardens close to the village of Messines in the Albufeira countryside. It mixes modern with traditional, and classic with contemporary to create a stunning villa, and with the fantastic gardens it's the perfect base for a taste of rural Algarve, yet it's only 15-minutes from a selection of beaches and resorts.

Casa Maravilha is a wonderful country villa, set in large impressive gardens close to the village of Messines, in the Albufeira countryside. It mixes modern with traditional, and classic with contemporary to create a stunning villa, and with the fantastic gardens it's the perfect base for a taste of rural Algarve, yet it's only 15-minutes from a selection of beaches and resorts.

The villa stands in large private grounds, and as soon as you enter through the grand, pillared entrance you can see that this house has carefully and lovingly been created and designed by its owners. On the ground floor there's a fully-fitted kitchen with light-wood units, tiled floors and a breakfast bar and stools. The main dining area has a glass-topped wooden table and eight chairs but there's also a second dining area with a smaller round table and four chairs at the back of the lounge. The lounge itself is a cosy and comfortable area, with comfortable seating, a TV, DVD player and patio doors leading to the garden. There's also a wc-cloakroom on the ground floor.

All four bedrooms are on the first floor, and are a mixture of styles. The two double bedrooms are classically decorated with soft colours, dark wood floors and traditional furniture, including a beautiful four-poster bed and an en-suite bathroom in one of them, the other double bedroom shares a bathroom with one of the twins. The two twin bedrooms also have dark wood flooring but both of these bedrooms are vibrant and colourfully decorated. One of the twins has an en-suite bathroom and the other shares the house bathroom with the second double. Two bedrooms - one twin and one double - have patio doors accessing a terrace, and the other two bedrooms have windows overlooking the grounds.

The exterior is just as special as inside - there's a large lawned garden between the house and pool terrace, and the pool is a large and L-shaped with Roman-style steps into the corner of the shallow end. The covered barbecue is a real feature of the villa and is a wonderful area for al-fresco cooking and dining. Almost the size of a small villa, the fully covered "barbecue-casita" has a large wooden table and chairs, an excellent built-in barbecue and sink, and there's even a shower bathroom here too. There is also a swing suspended from the wooden beam of the casita.

The nearest village is Messines which is a five minute drive from the villa. Here you will find a supermarket and restaurants, and an amazing fish and vegetable market where you can get fantastic local, fresh produce to create your own restaurant atmosphere in the comfort of your villa! If you like to sightsee whilst on holiday then it's worth the 15-minute journey to nearby Silves, where there's an amazing castle and cathedral. If the beach is more your thing then there's a choice of beaches within fifteen minutes as well as the resort of Albufeira.

Casa Maravilha is a wonderful base for those who want a high quality villa with superb facilities, a large garden and pool, in a quiet location whilst being able to access the local villages and resorts quite easily.
