A typical Spanish fishing village with a laid back atmosphere
On Mallorca's south-east coast, the charming old fishing village of Porto Cristo has been a well known tourist destination for many years now, thanks partly to the 1930s discovery of the spectacular Caves of Drac. Along with Lago de Martel, one of the world's largest underground lakes, the caves are one of Mallorca's premier tourist attractions.
Its most popular attraction is its stretch of golden sandy beach and pretty fishing harbour which is surrounded by a good selection of restaurants and cafés, serving a wonderful range of cuisine, from locally caught seafood to international dishes. There are also many local Mallorcan craft and gift shops where you can hunt for traditional Mallorcan souvenirs. If you want a change of scenery you can find many spectacular sandy coves up and down the shoreline.
Porto Cristo is just a short journey from Cala D'Or and the surrounding villages and resorts so is easily accessible from most Villa Parade Cala D'Or villas. The nearest villa to Porto Cristo, with stunning views of the sea, is Villa Son Macia De Sa Mola, web ID 581.
Porto Cristo also incorporates the pretty resort of Cala Mandia where Villa Parade have several stunning holiday villas right on the sea with spectacular views.
