It's in a great location halfway between the historic town of Pollenca, and the sea and sweeping bay of Puerto Pollenca. Inside, the house is all at ground level. It's a family home designed in traditional style with tiled floors, white walls and Mallorcan dark-wood furniture.

It's a family home designed in traditional style with tiled floors, white walls and Mallorcan dark-wood furniture.

The lounge and dining room has comfortable sofas, satellite tv, a dvd and a stereo. Double doors lead out onto a covered terrace overlooking the pool and gardens. There's a very well designed farmhouse-kitchen with a large walk-in pantry, lots of cupboard space, and appliances including a dishwasher and a microwave.

There are four air-conditioned bedrooms, newly furnished - a lovely and light double bedroom and three twin bedrooms. They share two bathrooms, both with baths and showers. The terraces, gardens and the pool are the stars at the villa. An amazing sun-terrace covers the whole roof of the house. It has beautiful views of the surrounding countryside and over to the mountain of Puig Maria near Pollenca and to the Formentor peninsula.

There are also two shady covered terraces, one with a table-tennis table, at the front and back of the house. The garden terrace looks across to the large brand new pool. There's also a covered cooking area with a barbecue oven and a sink.

Wide lawns - with tall palm trees, cacti and Mediterranean flowers - surround the pool. This makes for lots of quiet places in the shade of trees, as well as plenty of room for children to play on family holidays. The pool and gardens are behind the villa and so they are also very private. In front of the villa a long drive, with lots of parking space, leads to the Pollenca-Puerto Pollenca road.

Can Canaves is a great villa with beautiful tropical gardens. Its location makes it easy to make the most of the whole area around Pollenca and Puerto Pollenca. The beaches and the historic Old Town of Pollenca are both a 5-minute drive away. A very short walk away up the road towards Pollenca there's also a lovely local restaurant on the corner of the Cala St Vicente turn-off.
