Situated just a few minutes walk from our villa Gallardo, this awesome mansion house, with a heated outdoor hot-tub, is on high ground overlooking the Pollensa Golf course with breathtaking views over green countryside right down to the sea but is still very private.
An electric gate from the lane leads into a wide driveway lined with brush-fencing and colourful pink hibiscus and fragrant rosemary up to a large parking area. The villa has a majorcan stone façade and a lovely arched front entrance that leads directly into a large bright lounge dining room with double-height sloping ceiling and striking mallorcan décor.
It has light ceramic tiled floors and light wood beams with spotlights thoughout. It is a delightful mixture of traditional and modern and decorated with very good taste. Two very large sofas are placed around a low coffee table and there is an open wood-burning fire and chimney for a cosy homely feel. Bright white walls, cream curtains and lovely framed pictures contrast with the dark wood furniture and wrought iron detail on the chairs and bannisters.
There is a shower bathroom just off the lounge next to a lovely twin bedroom that has window views out to the front terrace.
The lounge has double doors out onto a fabulous L -shaped furnished terrace which runs around the outer part of the lounge and kitchen and it is partially covered. There are tables and chairs on both sides and the views from here are breathtaking looking down over the golf course across countryside to the port and the mountains of the Formentor peninsula. The terraces are a riot of colour with large flowerpots full of geraniums - it really is a gorgeous terrace and the focal point of the villa.
The characterful country-style kitchen has a small-paned door, an antique breakfast table and lovely pictures on the walls. There is a separate dispenser, marble work surfaces and fitted green units, dishwasher and microwave. There are windows overlooking the pool and terraces with pretty mint candy-stripe curtains.
There is a wide sweeping stairway from the lounge leading up to a spacious mezzanine bedroom that has a low window and two twin beds and looks down over the lounge-dining room. Ideal as a children's bedroom (no door and has full vision through safe balcony railings).
On this upper level is also a twin bedroom which has beautiful window views of the pond at the side of the garden, The décor here is elegant mallorcan with a wrought-iron bedhead. Large wardrobes are either side of an en-suite bathroom that has a jacuzzi bath and a raised wc and bidet.
Outside, there are steps down from the terrace to a lower level where there is a further twin bedroom with an en-suite shower bathroom with views of the garden. This bedroom is not below ground level as the villa is built into the hillside
There is also a utility room with washing machine that is accessed from this lower terrace.
The pool is rectangular and is completely fenced off with access though a gate. It has roman and metal steps. There is lots of lawn space here and the views of the Puig Maria are fantastic.
There is a large brick bbq to one side of the lawn and a decorative pond with waterfall which is illuminated at night.
Down the side of the villa is a vine covered terrace area with bouganvilia.
The garden is an array of colour and pretty flowers, fruit trees, olives, carobs and almonds.
