A fascinating display of original animation art is set to feature in Portugal later this month, with the exhibition becoming the first of its kind ever to open in the country.
Held at the Art Catto Gallery in Loulé, the collection will showcase a number of original and limited edition art created by the Walt Disney Company and 20th Century Fox. It gives the chance for visitors to examine animation cells from popular television shows such as Robin Hood, Mickey’s Christmas Carol and The Simpsons, with the latter currently the longest running animation series ever. Included within the exhibition are some of the last hand-painted cells made for The Simpsons before the days of computer animation, offering an interesting insight into the history of the technique.
Featuring on the Algarve from the 10 November until the 31 January, it’s a perfect event to visit should you already be enjoying one of the nearby villas in Algarve during the dates.
