Balearic airports set for large scale investment

It has just been reported that all major airports throughout the Balearic Islands are set to receive investment, with an estimated total fund of over €162 million being released by the Spanish government.

The news was announced by Spain’s Minister of Public Works and Transport Ana Pastor; the Minister commented that Mallorca’s Son Sant Joan airport would be receiving the largest segment of the funds, just under €110 million.

Those travelling to villa holidays across the Balearic Islands would all see the fruits of this investment as both Ibiza and Menorca’s airports would receive €40.72million and €11.76million respectively.

This is certainly great news and with visitor numbers hitting record amounts during the past months it is certainly needed to ensure that visitors to Mallorca or other Balearic destinations get the best service possible during a villa holiday.
