Comparison website promotes the Algarve for families

One of the largest UK travel insurance comparison websites, CompareNow, has featured the Portuguese region of the Algarve on their website, drawing attention to the region’s qualities as a destination for family holidays.

Quoting the executive director of the Algarve promotion bureau, the website mentioned the sheer amount of pristine beaches across the Portuguese coast, as well as the area hosting a great many events to suit travellers of all ages.

As you can imagine, golf was one of the activities mentioned, and with over 35 courses it is becoming one of largest tourism draws to the region.

The Algarve’s all-year sunshine is another factor that has meant it has become popular in all seasons; mild winters and 300 days of sunshine per year on average has made it a great destination for those seeking a villa holiday in the Mediterranean.
