Enjoy the Algarve’s FolkFaro festival this August

This August will see the Algarve city of Faro host the fabulous FolkFaro festival, one of the largest folklore festivals in the world. The event is certainly something that makes for an ideal day or night out, with performances of theatre and traditional song taking place over 8 days.

This year the festival will be taking place between August 18^th and 26^th and will see the Algarve’s capital of culture welcome over 300 different societies and individuals, all ready to brighten up and showcase culture and tradition from across the world.

The opening night will feature a large gala of performers, guaranteed to be entertaining for people of all ages during a villa holiday. Alongside the entertainment will be lots of markets and stalls selling everything from handcrafted goods to traditional food and drink, ideal for hungry and thirsty festival visitors.
