The Greek island of Kefalonia’s airport has seen double digit growth this summer; the figures just released show that Kefalonia has become the fastest growing airport during the summer months.

Kefalonia is one of the Ionian Islands located just off the Greek mainland and is a popular villa holiday destination thanks to its beautiful scenery, beaches and traditional towns and villages.  

The growth of the island’s airport has in part been attributed to the launch earlier in the year of a new service by low cost airlines Ryanair and easyJet.
