Largest shopping centre in Mallorca gets the go ahead

New plans to create Mallorca’s largest shopping centre have just been given the go-ahead by the Balearic Island’s Government. Once built it will cover a total area of 65,000 metres squared.

The approved shopping centre will be built on the outskirts of Palma de Mallorca in the area know as Coll d'en Rabassa. Promotion for the centre has already started by the supermarket chain Carrefour, whose already existing shopping centre will be annexed onto the new structure, adding to the already huge designed shopping mall.

The shopping centre will cost over 120 million Euro’s to bring to life, but already estimates have shown that it will create more than 5000 jobs in the region and draw tourists from across the renowned villa holiday island, all hoping to pick up great gifts and bargains.

The new complex’s location means that it is within easy reach of Palma de Mallorca’s beach resorts, airport and the city centre, making it even more attractive for those staying in villas in Majorca to visit.
