Tourism in Mallorca has bucked the trend hitting most holiday resorts in the Mediterranean, with the majority of hotel chains on the Spanish island more than satisfied with this year’s levels of visitors.
A survey carried out by Gadeso asked Majorcan hoteliers about how profits have been affected during the busy tourism periods of the half term weeks and end of term holidays. While the majority of hoteliers confirmed they had not raised their prices, a number of establishments were still able to confirm increased profit margins. With 85% of those asked confirming they had experienced an increase in occupancy levels compared to 2011, it is clear that the extra profits are purely down to the amount of people flocking to Mallorca for the perfect break in the sun.
The numbers certainly don’t lie, Mallorca is clearly a much sought after location for the perfect summer holiday, hardly surprising with the array of sublime sandy stretches and almost guaranteed summer sunshine. Why not experience what the island can offer you through one of the villas in Mallorca available?
