Mallorca town promotes outdoor activities

Mallorca is extremely popular with those seeking holidays with plenty of leisure options, with an abundance of scenic coastal routes and facilities such as golf courses.

One town council has taken the initiative to promote its local leisure attractions in a bid to attract those seeking walking or cycling winter breaks. Calvia is located close to the Serra Tramuntana mountain range and a selection of well signposted trails to enjoy, which each offer stunning views of the Mallorcan coast and countryside.

Cyclists will have plenty to see and do when visiting the town too, with an additional five routes being mapped out by the council.

Each year, professional athletes from across the world visit the Balearic Island to not only enjoy holiday breaks such as stays in villas, but to also train on some of the most idyllic conditions in Europe.
