Pollenca’s 2012 festival in full swing

If you have visited the stunning region of Pollenca (pollensa) in the past you will know just why it has become one of the most popular locations to enjoy a villa holiday in recent years.

Currently its own festival is in full swing with events taking place in venues across the region, ranging from orchestral concerts to film festivals.  Events started last month but there are still a huge number of events in the region’s calendar planned for August.

Several dates this month will give villa holiday visitors and residents alike a chance to sample some stunning classical music performed in a very fitting setting; the Cloister of the Convent of Santo Domingo. Some dates this month include:-

Friday, August 24^th: Concerts will be taking place throughout Pollensa by regional orchestras and students of Escola de Música de Pollença.

Saturday, August 18^th: the World Orchestra will be performing symphonies by Beethoven and Tchaikovsky under the directorship of Josep Vicent.
