Great news for those that enjoy heading off each year to Portugal for a villa holiday, it has just been announced that the country is set to open the world’s largest dinosaur museum and theme park.
The theme park will be based in the municipality of Lourinhã, in central Portugal, an area that is already renowned for the discovery of 150 million year old fossils and dinosaur bones. Set to open in 2013, the attraction will cover 25 hectares and feature an open air museum alongside exhibitions of paleontological finds from the area.
Construction is due to start in July, and with over 250 life size models planned it is sure to be a great attraction when it opens, certainly another great reason to enjoy a stay in our villas in Portugal!
