The Algarve Guitar exhibition

If you enjoy experiencing live music or learning about the history of it, then when enjoying a villa holiday in the Algarve you will find an exhibition taking place that could be ideal for you: The Portuguese Guitar Exhibition.

The exhibition is currently held at the The Municipal Museum of Portimão in the Algarve region of Portugal and will be open up until the 30^th of September. Visitors to the attraction will find a varied selection of exhibits and information ranging from the construction of the musical instrument through to examples of classic pieces performed by renowned artists.

The instrument has helped shape the traditional Portuguese musical genre of Fado over the years and can be heard on countless numbers of recordings and live shows across the region.

It’s a great exhibition that’s not to be missed and a great treat for music lovers staying in our villas in Portugal during September.
