Traditional Mallorcan food celebrated in London

The cuisine of Mallorca is well worth celebrating, and cities all over the world are getting ready to celebrate Mallorcan Food Week, none more so than London.

From 22^nd-28^th October, the food of the Spanish island will be brought to the forefront of the London dining experience, with top Spanish restaurants in the capital as well as the food market on Maltby Street showing off the delicious flavours of the Mediterranean.

Local Mallorcan specialities that will be served up include Pizarro, Tramontana, Barrafina, Cambio de Tercio and Barcelona Tapas. The Maltby Street Market will be featuring a select group of food producers on 26^th and 27^th October, specially chosen by Radio 4’s Rachel McCormack. Typical Mediterranean products that would be purchased on a villa holiday in Mallorca will be available in London, including wine, olive oil, preserves, specialist seasonings and more.

Of course, the best place to celebrate Mallorcan Food Week would be in Mallorca itself, where the most authentic food samplings will be found in abundance. As well as refreshing and delectable cuisine, Mallorca can also offer beautiful beaches, warm temperatures and a relaxing holiday atmosphere, so why not head to the Balearic Island this October?
