Visit the Alcoutim festival in the Algarve

The village of Alcoutim is busy preparing itself for its annual festivities. This year, the events will run between the 14^th and 16^th of September.

This year’s programme is being heralded by organisers as the best ever with several bands set to entertain the visiting audience, including the Bandit Beatles, Marco Paulo and Black Market, alongside traditional entertainment and fairs.

Celebrations kick off in the morning of the 14^th with a parade, music concert and a firework display.  On the 15^th, the village will be celebrating everything Spanish; visitors can expect a wide variety of cultural attractions to experience including charity sporting events, street entertainment and, of course, plenty of live music into the night. Events carry on through the night at this unique festival.

September16^th will see the region’s youth celebrated with a varied selection of sporting activities planned, including a swimming gala. The band Black Market will be taking to the stage at 11pm and will be followed by a fantastic firework show to end the proceedings.
